The ideal candidate has 3+ years of tax experience, a strong understanding of tax regulations, and enjoys working directly with clients to provide thoughtful tax preparation, compliance, and planning services for individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Provide tax planning and consulting services
- Conduct tax research and stay current on changes in tax regulations
- Communicate with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Lacerte
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a tax preparer in public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment
- CPA or EA designation is a plus
Work Location
This position is based in San Rafael, CA and requires regular in-office presence 3–4 days per week. Remote work (up to 1–2 days per week) may be available for eligible employees, subject to business needs and manager approval.
